After a brainstroming session between Principal, Mr. K.K.Sharma and the Core committee of Delhi Public School, Vidyut Nagar, The School zeroed upon the theme of 'Sarva Siksha Abhiyan'  under which Computer Literacy has been started for the 'Girl Child' of the neighbouring villages of Bishada and Rasulpur. The progressive 'Gram Pradhans' of these villages took the initiatives to facilitate their daughters to avail the Computer training programme at our school.
To begin with a group of 38 students between the age group of 15 years to 35 years are attending the classes in the afternoon which are held at the school premises. The ICT training programme is co-ordinated by the Computer Sc. department of the school and experienced educators are conducting classes for the effective fulfillmemt of our mission. A lot of enthusiasm can be seen in these students.
Inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi “Beti Padhao, Desh Badao Campaign”, the motive behind this initiative is to enable the rural women so that she not only bears a strong and knowledgeable future but also takes an active part in the progressive development of their family, village and surroundings.
The ICT training includes various topics like Computer fundamentals, MS-office package(Word, Excel and Powerpoint only) and Introduction to Internet. After the above training the knowledge of Networking and other IT applications will be given to these first generation learnes of IT. The school has also planned to award the trainees with Merit Certificates after the successful completion of the training programme.
Under the able guidance of the school management and the visionary Principal and staff, the school wish to achieve its “Mission Milestone” in the stipulated time with utmost diligence and honesty.
